Tuxedo Park is one of Calgary's oldest inner-city communities – and easily one of its most underrated. Brick bungalows and post-war character homes sit next to sharp new infills on a classic walkable grid, just north of 16th Avenue and barely three kilometres from downtown; situated just east of Mount Pleasant.
Centre Street runs right through the heart of it, the city's busiest rapid-transit corridor and a beloved dining strip rolled into one (pho, dim sum, bakeries and late-night noodles, all a short stroll away). Walk to neighbourhood schools, skate at Central Park's rink, wander west to Confederation Park, or drop down to the Bow River pathways for a weekend ride or run.
It's a diverse, tight-knit community – the kind that throws a proper Canada Day party, an Oktoberfest and a Breakfast with Santa every year, where neighbours still know each other's names. Character, convenience, and inner-city living that's still within reach – that's the Tuxedo Park difference.
